Modelling and Optimization of Energy Efficient Assembly Line Balancing Using Modified Moth Flame Optimizer

Energy utilization is a global issue due to the reduction of fossil resources and also negative environmental effect. The assembly process in manufacturing sector needs move new dimension by taking into account energy when designing line. Recently, researchers studied line balancing (ALB) considering utilization. However, current works were limited robotic problem. This work has proposed model efficient ALB (EE-ALB) optimize problem using modified moth flame optimizer (MMFO). MMFO introduces best concept guide search direction. tested 34 cases from benchmark problems. numerical experiment results showed that MMFO, general, able EE-ALB better compared five comparison algorithms within reasonable computational time. Statistical test indicated significant performance 75% cases. can be guideline for manufacturer set up green future.
